| AHAHA!!! I post. <pauses for shocked gasps> Yeah, I have finally worked up the courage to post once more. not gonna even bother with discussing how long its been or how i've let this thing go to rot. First item, I've finished all my college apps!! w00t. Applied to a whole bunch, but so far, only a rejection from Stanford has come out. Can't say I didn't expect it or blame them. Load of Asian-hating, legacy-loving SOBs.... <sighs> they ARE a business i guess. A noble business, but a business nonetheless. I'll be posting here at least as often as my acceptance/rejection/"deferral?? deferral to WAHT??" letters come in. Second, I am a second semester senior!! HA! Now to let my grades go to hell and go to PCC! yippee for me. The home stretch and soon... soon I shall be free.... free as the wind blows.... Thirdly, my head still hurts cuz my parents have seen fit to guilt-trip me with a whole bunch of other tasks. Great. Just what i need right now. Finally, I get to do a load of mad-sciencing for the first time in a long while. I hope to finish up this little project I'm working on, Lixon you know which one, as soon as most of the kinks get worked out. Just need the supplies and hopefully this weekend I'll get the time. Should turn out quite nicely if I've got it worked out properly. Well, this is a short post, cuz I've really got nothing to say at this point in time. Pictures if it works out.. and well.. pictures even if it doesn't. ^^

| well, due to the outpouring of demands, <cough, cough, from Victor's own mind + 1 from David> and because Lixon is frankly too lazy to do it. <how's that for a personality switch??> I am doing the Anime Expo update. please. Hold the applause til we're finished. ^^
Sadly, most of my pictures are from the first day I went, and as such, I was unable to actually be IN any of the gorram pictures. Tough luck eh? In any case, the following is teh ones I like the best. ^^ Whether cuz it was a good cosplayer, or cuz there are cute chicks (relatively, or so Lixon thinks...) Also, unfortunately, Victor is a very bad cameraman, so some pictures came out...weird. X,x

And of course, what trip to AX is complete without a picture of Zanzuba poking Bonta-kun in the face? Because Bonta-kun is awesome and secure in his awesomeness, he will not retaliate and remain peaceful.
And of course, another picture of the line for the Exhibition Hall. Because it's SOOOO worth it. Seriously! AX is essentially a big mall with other events and where teh shoppers are all hopeless otaku dressed in bizarre clothing. ^^ I just wasn't wearing bizarre clothing.
Then came day 2. With my sore feet and my aching and aging bones, I valiantly prepared for a second day.
Yes. We are dorks. ^^
In any case, Me, Lixon, and Jeffrey spent the day wandering the convention center, and partaking of all that Anime Expo has to offer! Well...we actually spent most of the day and our money playing in the arcade... ^^;;; For Ghost Squad, Lixon set the record for killing the most hostages possible in a single level and still remaining alive! Unfortunately, he perished soon after, killed by an enemy round. I, however, managed to survive long enough to kill another hostage and down a guy on our team. ^^ Yeah, if you're gonna be playing a shooting game that requires anything other than killing bad guys.... don't look at either me or Lixon. ^^ Later, after we managed to pry ourselves away from the machines, we wandered through Artist Alley. Lixon tried to pay $6 for somethign apparently worth $60. X,x Lixon shoulda grabbed it and run. Let us have a moment of silence for lixon's lost pikachu. <silence> Yes, that's what he wanted to buy.
Next, to complete our AX experience, we waited in line. A long, long line. Well, not as long as the one I had to suffer through... <see above picture of line>, but this time the line went along, and suddenly disintegrated before our eyes. WE LOST THE SOLIDARITY OF THE LINE!!!! CHAOS! MADNESS!!!!!! We flailed about for a minute, then just kinda weaseled our way back in. Were we farther back, or more in front? We'll never know. Anyhow, we moved along in the line, when I suddenly noticed..THIS!
HAHA!!! YES!!! You have no idea how much trouble we went to in order to get that picture. We had to wait till all the volunteers were looking in the other direction, then suddenly club the guy, drag him off into the bushes, and take the picture. jk. ^^ We just did it when he wasn't looking.
Then we made it! We were in! Cool air smacked us in the face! We stood there absorbing the aura, when suddenly, I was broadsided. "Now what?" Like I knew... and so, more wandering ensued. We bought some stuff. Unfortunately, a lot of the cool stuff was out of our budgets. And we will not speak of the horrible sight that assaulted our eyes later on in the day. THEY CALL "THAT" COSPLAY?!?!? <gouges out eyes> If you want more details, just ask me or Lixon. I'm not leaving that thing out on the internet... Or he might post it. Who knows? So we wandered around the mall/Exhibition hall, picking up freebies, and a bizarre amount of little models of anime characters. We're not sure why to this day, why the hell we bought little models. But we did have a good laugh over Jeffrey's excellent choices, my amazingly poor ones, and Lixon's constant demands for my head. I only issue one response. NEVER!!! HAHAHA!!
And now, pictures of my swag. ^^ The posters have glare, so I tried to minimize it as much as possible. In others, it actually made it cooler. ^^

| well, summer's begun, and with it comes relaxation, vacations, sleeping in late, hanging out with friends.... or so one would think. ^^ It'd be better, you know, if it were more of a continuation, but there's always this wonderful little gap of 1 or 2 weeks where i can relax, catch up with people, but then i figure out the real reason for summer. To give you more work, but to allow you to PRETEND that it's willing. So this summer i was given a brief respite, because frankly i'm not gonna be going farther than 2 hours away this summer. Yes, I went to beautiful, glitzy, freaking furnace-y Palm Springs. Waht is there to do there you ask? Absolutely nothing besides golf, walking, and baking. "mmmm. Something smells good. Is someone outside barbequing?" "No, that's just you." "GAHHH!!! <frantic flailing>" It did cool off during the evening though... relatively. It went down from a fiery 112 to a warm, almost mild 106. Then we had the bright idea to go out for a walk. Great. Now we leave the cool, air-conditioned interior to melt our soles to the pavement. And this was no pansy walk either. We meant to go to CPK, which was only a block away from where we parked. But then, I thought about it some more. I mean... where's the logic in driving for 2 HOURS to eat at a restaurant that is conveniently located 10 MINUTES AWAY FROM OUR HOUSE!! Unfortunately, this then meant we would go in search of other, more interesting restaurants, a.k.a. more walking. Why haven't I learned to keep my big mouth shut? We ended up at a nice little Thai restaurant that just happened to be located AT THE OTHER END OF THE STRIP! No one really felt like walking after that. The high note was taking the aerial tram up to the mountainside. That was cool. The only problem was that the car was all big and stable. Where's the fun in that?? I wished i could have taken the tin cans, the old cars, these tiny little aluminum foil boxes that fit like 10 people. Considering how much the big, stable ones swayed when going over the the towers, the tin cans must have been reaaaall fun. ^^ Yeah, that's wut my weekend was like. Oh, and I watched a lotta movies. Parents made me take books, but WHO READS BOOKS ~ ~ ^^
So this summer's learning is all lined up, except in this case, I'll be teaching. To a room. Of kids. God help me, and God help them. ^^ 'Cause I have no clue what i'm doing, gonna be doing, or will end up doing after they fire my worthless ass. More on this some other time.
And YES! Victor has finally found a job! I am now a "hard-working" member of the labor force. 7 bucks. That's wut I'm going to be paid. Someone hold me back, I feel like leaping for joy. But of course, this will not preclude the other forms of toil. Now that I have "free time", it's time to resume duty as a Boy Scout, and boy, I've got some work to do. The words "Eagle Project" leap to mind.
But it hasn't been all bad news. I mean, I have a shiny new watch. Well, not shiny... Burnished i think is the word
yes, shiny. ^^, and yeah I know wut an anime freak i am. Thanks..
Plus I have nice new pair of sunglasses! Despite the fact that I'll leave them at home more often than not, they're still nice. YAY!

In any case, Jon plans a gathering to be publicized by Emily, but who knows what'll happen. If it actually goes through, might see you lot there. ^^
(And yes, I use "^^" a lot. It's an obsessive compulsive thing or summat.)
